Mexico would exceed 100 thousand houses powered by solar energy in 2019: Solar Power
 To date, there are more than 85 thousand distributed energy contracts in the country (solar houses) with a capacity of around 500 MW, ang this year there is an expected 100,000 plus homes in national territory being illuminated by solar energy, in accordance to Solar Power Mexico.

The fair that will be held from March 19 to 21 at Citibanamex Center in Mexico City, a meeting point for decision makers and key companies from the sector.

The latest from the photovoltaic solar energy will be exhibited. Worthy to note that on a national level, the state holding the largest rate of residential and commercial photovoltaic energy adoption is Jalisco, followed by Nuevo León, Mexico City, Chihuahua and Mérida.

It is estimated that in 2018 more than 40 thousand photovoltaic systems were installed; an increase of almost fifty percent compared to the twenty-seven thousand installed in 2017.

Part of what has led to this growth have been the adjusted electricity rates for high consumption users who no longer receive government subsidies, as well as the changes that have been made to the commercial collection schemes.

However, it is not only the increase in electricity cost driving the growth, but the component cost which has dropped by up to 120 percent in the last 5 years.

Solar Power Mexico will be the most important industrial fair in solar energy that has been carried out in the country, in addition to being the first B2B event in this sector where exhibitors ranging from cells and solar panel manufacturers, parts and components, new technology and tracking systems, as well as traditional power plants, planning and development, suppliers of systems and services, and facility exports will come together.

The event is organized by Hannover Fairs Mexico, a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG, together with Sunshine Energy International Limited, of Shanghai, China, and Solar Power International, of Virginia, USA. UU

Both partners organize the largest industrial fairs related to solar energy in their countries: SNEC PV Power Expo and Solar Power International. The organizers expect exhibitors from all over Mexico, the United States, Europe and Asia, while the vast majority of attendees and visitors will be professionals from Mexico, Central and South America, as well as from the Caribbean.
